Romanian Government Sends Humanitarian Aid to Armenia with Two Aircraft
The Romanian government sent humanitarian aid to Armenia on October 7, using two cargo aircraft. This assistance is intended for those forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to a report by Armenpress, the humanitarian aid was received at the Zvartnots Airport by Romania's Ambassador to Armenia, Cornel Ionescu, and Ara Fidanyan, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Ambassador Ionescu expressed his happiness that his people have stepped forward to help those in need. “I believe this is a strong proof of the very open and close relations between our countries and our peoples. I hope this will serve as a very strong bridge for our relations moving forward. We are also planning to evacuate citizens affected by the explosion in Stepanakert to Bucharest soon. Once again, I am glad to be here to show that people can be friends and help those in need. Thank you very much,” said the Romanian Ambassador in Armenia.
The humanitarian cargo includes food and essential supplies.
