Trump Claims Low Oil Prices Could Have Prevented Ukraine Conflict
Former US President Donald Trump stated that he could have prevented the outbreak of conflict in Ukraine by lowering the price of oil to $40 per barrel. He expressed this opinion during a rally in Michigan attended by his supporters, including striking automotive workers, as reported by TASS.
“Oil prices would be so low that Russia could not afford to go to war. The price would be $40 per barrel,” Trump said.
He has repeatedly claimed that he intends to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in just 24 hours. According to Trump, he has good relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and has offered his assistance to resolve this conflict.
