Azerbaijan Proposes Peaceful Construction of Transport Routes to Armenia: Hajiev
“Azerbaijan has no intentions of launching military operations to establish a land corridor in southern Armenia,” stated Hikmet Hajiev, the adviser to the President of Azerbaijan, in Brussels.
“Azerbaijan has no military aims or objectives regarding Armenia's sovereign territory; this is completely off Azerbaijan's agenda. Our proposal to Armenia concerns the peaceful construction of communication routes and transport lines,” he said to Reuters.
During the Brussels negotiations, officials discussed the possibility of a potential meeting between Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the European summit scheduled for October 5 in Granada, Spain.
