Major Car Accident in Syunik: Collision Between Mercedes and VAZ, One Injured
On September 9, at 16:09, the Syunik Regional Rescue Department's crisis management center received a call about a traffic accident near the intersection in the village of Shinuhayr. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that on the 9th kilometer of the Goris-Sissian highway, a collision occurred between a 'Mercedes-Benz' (driver: L.M.) and a 'VAZ' vehicle (driver: H.S., born in 1949).
Before the ambulances arrived, the injured H.S. was hospitalized at a medical center, where doctors assessed his health condition as satisfactory.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicles’ batteries and closed the valves of the gas cylinders.
