Armenian Armed Forces Did Not Open Fire Towards Azerbaijani Positions, MoD Says
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has denied claims made by Azerbaijan regarding armed engagements along the border.
Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense issued a statement alleging that at approximately 03:55 AM on September 9, Armenian armed forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the southwestern section of the border. However, the Armenian MoD asserts that this claim is unfounded.
It is pertinent to recall that on September 1, Azerbaijani forces had opened intensive fire on Armenian positions in the areas of Sotk and Norabak in the Gegharkunik region, utilizing mortars and drones. This Azerbaijani provocation resulted in the death of three servicemen and the injury of two others.
