US to Soon Deliver New Batch of Cluster Munitions to Ukraine: Media

The United States is preparing to send more cluster munitions to Ukraine, which could happen soon. This information was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing The New York Times.

The publication, referencing American officials, mentions that the Ukrainian army is expected to receive a new batch of cluster shells shortly.

“Now, two months after the United States sent the first tranche of ammunition to Ukraine to ensure that its forces were not depleting their supplies, three American officials said that the Biden administration plans to send more soon,” the report states.

At the same time, the publication cites Ukrainian military personnel who note that cluster munitions are highly effective. “They are extremely effective. When our guys see how we use them against the enemy, their morale goes up,” says Ukrainian Marine Serhii, who participated in battles for Urozhainoye.
