General Surovikin's Photo Emerges Online After Long Absence
On June 24, following the Wagner PMC uprising, army general Sergey Surovikin, who had disappeared from the public eye, has emerged once again. This was reported by journalist Ksenia Sobchak on her Telegram channel 'The Bloody Lady'.
‘General Sergey Surovikin is alive, healthy, at home with his family, in Moscow,’ wrote Sobchak. She claims that the photo was taken today.
Earlier today, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu declined to answer questions regarding a potential investigation into Surovikin. According to various media sources, the army general was removed from the position of commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces in August. The acting commander of that position has been appointed to General Viktor Afzalov, the head of the Aerospace Forces General Staff.
