Seven Killed in Group Attack on Mosque in Nigeria
At least seven people have been killed and two injured following an attack by gangsters on a mosque in northern Nigeria, reports Daily Post citing sources.
«In Sayya-Sayya village of the Ikara Local Government Area in Kaduna State, the robbers shot dead seven worshippers,» the report states.
It was noted that five people died inside the mosque building, while two others were injured as a result of the attack. The source added that the assault occurred while the worshippers were engaged in evening prayers.
The injured have been transported to a hospital. Mansir Alhassan, the spokesperson for the state's public relations, stated that security personnel from neighboring areas have been mobilized to apprehend the attackers.
