I Am Not in Good Physical Condition, But I Must Return to Artsakh: Archbishop Pargev
The former leader of the Artsakh Diocese, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, announced that he will return to Artsakh after undergoing a heart transplant in the United States.
This statement was made during an interview with Alpha News, in response to a question regarding his departure to the United States after the 44-day war and when he plans to return to his homeland.
"I have to change my heart because I have undergone 4-5 heart surgeries. In the last 1.5 years, I also had several surgeries—stents were placed, my stomach burst, and I recently had surgery for an inguinal hernia. I am waiting to receive my Green Card and be placed in line for the heart transplant; as soon as it's done, I will come back. I am not in good physical condition, my weight is 59-60 kg, so you can draw your own conclusions. But, of course, I must return to our homeland and Artsakh," said the former leader of the Artsakh Diocese.
