Areni Markosyan Informed He is Unwelcome in His Homeland and Forced to Return to Lebanon: MP
US citizen Areni Markosyan has been forced to return to Lebanon from where he arrived in Armenia. This was reported by Kristine Vardanyan, a member of the 'Armenia' parliamentary faction, on her Facebook page.
“After holding Areni Markosyan at the airport for 24 hours and forcing him to spend the night without his belongings there, it was announced to him that he is an undesirable person in his homeland and he was compelled to return to Lebanon, from where he had arrived in Armenia,” she wrote.
It is worth noting that earlier, the MP had uploaded a video from Zvartnots Airport stating that US citizen Areni Markosyan had been unable to enter Armenia for more than 12 hours. Markosyan arrived in Armenia from Lebanon and was planning to travel to Washington from Yerevan, but he was not allowed to enter Armenia.
