“I have tried to gather my thoughts. First of all, I know that a parent who has lost a child cannot be consoled in any form, but I know that those soldiers and officers demonstrated massive strength and gave their lives for the homeland. They deserve to have their names written in gold letters in the history of our nation. They often did the impossible because they understood what homeland is,” said former Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan during a session of the parliamentary inquiry committee investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war.
