Human Rights Defender Conducts Fact-Finding Work Related to the Blockade of Artsakh Citizen by Azerbaijan

The Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan has made a statement regarding the blockade of a 68-year-old man traveling to Armenia for medical treatment by Azerbaijanis.

"According to the information received, Azerbaijan has blocked the transport of a 68-year-old citizen from Nagorno-Karabakh to a medical facility in Armenia via the Red Cross today, July 28. In relation to this issue, Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan has contacted partners from the International Committee of the Red Cross and continues to conduct fact-finding activities.

After clarifying the details of the incident, the Defender will also appeal to international organizations with a mandate on human rights."
