Chief Editor of Hürriyyət Newspaper Arrested in Azerbaijan
Chief editor of Hürriyyət newspaper, Vugar Mamedov, has been arrested in Azerbaijan. This information has been reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan.
An investigation is underway regarding the publication of information prohibited for dissemination on online information resources by Mamedov and violations of the requirements of Azerbaijan's "Law on Information, Informatization and Protection of Information."
It has been noted that the chief editor will remain in custody for one month.
