Putin Sets Conditions for Returning to Grain Deal
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia will return to the grain deal if the restrictions on its agricultural product exports are lifted. He made this announcement during a meeting with the government, as reported by TASS.
According to him, another condition for the resumption of the deal is the restoration of the ammonia pipeline from Tolyatti to Odessa.
Putin emphasized that it is necessary to "restore the humanitarian essence" of the grain deal for its resumption.
Previously, the IMF had stated that the suspension of the grain deal exacerbates the outlook for food security and poses a risk of further increases in global food prices.
