"Russia Suspends Implementation of Grain Deal" - Peskov
Today, the Black Sea agreements have effectively ceased to operate, and the part of the grain deal related to Russia has not been implemented, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, during a conversation with reporters, as reported by TASS.
“As the President of Russia previously stated, the deadline was July 17. Unfortunately, the section concerning Russia in the Black Sea agreement has not been fulfilled until today,” Peskov said.
It is worth noting that U.S. Presidential Adviser Jake Sullivan announced yesterday that if Russia withdraws from the deal, it would mean that Moscow has "turned its back" on countries in need and is refusing to provide them with affordable food.
