3-Year-Old and 6-Year-Old Residents of Artsakh Die Due to Severe Humanitarian Conditions: Ararat Mirzoyan
The seven-month blockade of the Lachin corridor and the total blockade of the population of Artsakh have had irreparable and devastating effects on people's lives. This was stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on his Twitter microblog.
“Residents of Artsakh, 3-year-old Leon and 6-year-old Gitan, have died due to severe humanitarian conditions. In the 21st century. This cannot be tolerated,” he wrote.
According to media reports, the children's mother, Vera Narimanyan, had left the little ones at home and had gone to Martakert to collect aid in the form of oil and sugar. During her absence, the children left the house, presumably to search for her, and hours later, their lifeless bodies were found in a vehicle. It is believed that the children grew weary, found a random car, and entered it to rest. Preliminary data suggests they succumbed to suffocation due to the heat.
