The Number of Children Who Died in Ukraine During 500 Days of War Revealed
Since the beginning of the Russian extensive invasion of Ukraine, 494 children have died, and more than 1,051 children have sustained injuries of varying degrees. This information was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, citing official statistics from prosecutors dealing with minors' issues, as reported by tv8.md.
According to the prosecutor's office, the most affected children were from Donetsk (472), Kharkiv (297), Kyiv (129), Kherson (115), Zaporizhia (91), Mykolaiv (89), Dnipropetrovsk (83), Chernihiv (71), and Luhansk regions (67).
According to the United Nations, more than 500 children have died during the 500 days of war. Since the start of the war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the total number of civilian casualties has exceeded 9,000.
