Iran Has Always Opposed Changes to Borders in the Region: Abdollahian
Iran has always opposed changes to borders in the region and supports the peaceful resolution of conflicts in the South Caucasus. This statement was made by Iranian Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdollahian during his speech at a meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement's Coordinating Bureau in Baku, Azerbaijani media report.
Abdollahian noted that during his meeting with President Aliyev today, he was convinced that the Azerbaijani side is "committed" to implementing the trilateral statement. In particular, Iran supports the unblocking of communication and transport routes.
"This region has significant transit potential. Iran supports cooperation for the realization of this goal and potential," stated the Iranian Foreign Minister.
