New Trolleybuses to Hit Yerevan Streets Starting July 8: Avinyan
New trolleybuses will be put into service starting July 8. This was announced today by Yerevan’s Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a working session at the city hall.
“Starting July 8, we will see new trolleybuses on the streets of Yerevan,” stated Avinyan.
Regarding the procurement of the new batch of trolleybuses, the next tender has already been announced. Earlier, it had been reported that the Yerevan Municipality purchased 15 new trolleybuses with its own funds, and another 15 trolleybuses will be acquired with the support of the Armenian government.
Currently, efforts are underway to renew the transport fleet of the capital.
