Batumi-Yerevan Train Stranded Due to Landslide
The Georgian Railways reports that the Batumi-Yerevan train has been stranded due to a landslide.
“It is unknown when the traffic will be restored. Even if traffic resumes, for safety reasons, the movement of passengers at this time is not advisable,” the announcement states.
All trains will depart to the nearest station so that passengers can continue their journey from there. The company promises to refund all ticket fares. Additionally, three routes from Tbilisi to Batumi, Tbilisi to Poti, and Zugdidi to Tbilisi have been canceled.
