NATO Instructors Change Situation on Ukraine Battlefields, Says Stoltenberg

NATO instructors preparing the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the current offensive have "changed the situation on Ukraine's battlefields," according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, as reported by TASS.

Stoltenberg made the remarks during a visit to the NATO Security Assistance Group (SAG-U) base in Wiesbaden, Germany, which coordinates the training of Ukrainian military personnel and arms supplies to Kyiv.

"The training and advice you provide are making real changes on the battlefield every day," the Secretary General's words were quoted by NATO's press service.

The press service clarified that this way the Secretary General expressed gratitude to the alliance's instructors for their assistance to Ukraine. Stoltenberg also reiterated that NATO's support for Ukraine "will continue as long as necessary."

European NATO countries have prepared 24,000 soldiers for the commencement of the Ukrainian offensive, as previously announced by EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.
