Ukrainian Counteroffensive Does Not Live Up to U.S. Expectations: Pentagon Source

The Ukrainian counteroffensive does not meet U.S. expectations, as the Ukrainian armed forces suffer significant losses. This was reported by CNN, citing Pentagon sources.

The media outlet emphasized that the White House "continues to remain optimistic" and intends to wait for data on the assessment of the Ukrainian "offensive" to be published at least until July.

Sources from the channel also indicated the heavy losses of the Ukrainian armed forces. According to the report, the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had relied on a "blitzkrieg," but Kyiv evidently underestimated the preparedness of the Russian army.

It is noted that, according to an interview with Doug Bush, head of the U.S. Army Acquisition, the U.S. has doubled munitions production since the start of the Russian military operations in Ukraine. He also added that states aim to reach a monthly production of 80,000 munitions by the end of this year.
