Tigran Avinyan on the Reconstruction of the Kond District

During the operational meeting of the Yerevan Municipality, the issue of the competition for the concept of the reconstruction of the Kond district was discussed.

“I remember this process very well, as I initiated it back in the distant 2020-21. We then implemented the first phase and stopped at that point. This is one of the most important projects for the municipality, and our initiative regarding this project is very significant,” said Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan, instructing that, “The first issue that needs to be addressed is the protection of the rights of the residents—those living in Kond. Essentially, it is about registering their property rights in the boundaries they have occupied for years, so that in the future, when the construction program is implemented, they do not encounter issues with the developer or outsiders, meaning there is no problem of rights infringement.”

The second phase would be the discussion of the actual project. Please be diligent, as this is an important project for us at the municipality.” Tigran Avinyan also instructed to prepare a reconstruction program for the Norakaghak district of Yerevan.
