VIDEO: "I was flying to Armenia and felt happy to come to you" - Hauser

"I was in the airplane, we had cake, champagne, and I was flying to Armenia, feeling happy to come to you," said world-renowned cellist Stefan Hauser at a press conference held today in Yerevan.

When asked about the secret to his success, Hauser replied, "Stay true to yourself, never imitate others, don’t change your style, and never give up because of setbacks and challenges. And most importantly, always keep moving forward."

Sona Hovhannisyan, the founder and director of the "HAYA" International Festival, also noted that for the second year in a row, the festival is kicking off its remarkable concerts. "Even before the establishment of 'HAYA,' there was talk about inviting this beloved musician to Yerevan. So I believe this is a great gift to our society," she said.

When asked how he feels every time after the concerts, when he finds himself alone, Hauser responded, "The difference is obvious when you’re left alone after the shine... Of course, it’s different, and there is beauty in that." He mentioned that he is familiar with Aram Khachaturian's works, particularly highlighting the famous "Sabre Dance" from the ballet "Gayane" and also noted Khachaturian's Cello Concerto. He added that he has always dreamed of making classical music more popular and loved through the cello.
