Commander of Georgia's Defense Forces Battery Struck by Lightning

The commander of Georgia's defense forces artillery battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Goderdzi Aprasidze, has been struck by lightning at the "Orpholo" military training ground. This information has been reported by the "Rustavi 2" television channel, which cites the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

According to the agency, the injured person received assistance on-site and was then transported to the Akhaltsikhe hospital. He is currently in the intensive care unit.

It is noted that according to the Ministry of Defense, the soldier's condition is extremely serious, although doctors have managed to stabilize his hemodynamic parameters.

The incident is being investigated by the military police.
