Simonyan Has No Claims Against Journalist, Issue to Be Resolved Today: Spokesperson
Attorney Aramazd Kiviryana announced yesterday that the civil court of the first instance in Yerevan has been informed that Alen Simonyan has submitted a request to the compulsory enforcement service of the Ministry of Justice to issue an enforcement sheet regarding compliance with the court decision against journalist Ani Gevorgyan.
“In fact, the application submitted by Alen Simonyan to the court contains information that does not correspond to reality, since the requirements of the court decision have been fulfilled, and the application submitted by him to the court is, in fact, an attempt to enforce the court's requirements a second time,” he noted.
In a conversation with Aysor.am, the spokesperson for the Speaker of the National Assembly, Tuvinar Khachatryan, stated that this is merely a misunderstanding. “Alen Simonyan has no claims against Ani Gevorgyan, as he has fulfilled all obligations under the court's decision. This issue will be resolved today.”
