Supporters of Erdoğan Do Not Realize the Consequences, German Minister Says

Those who supported Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's candidacy in the recent elections do not understand the consequences of his reelection, stated Germany's Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir. He made this announcement on his Twitter account.

He noted that many voters who cast their ballots in favor of the Turkish leader made such a decision due to the lack of freedom in the country and as a result of poverty.

It is worth recalling that Erdoğan garnered 52.14% of the votes, while the leader of the country's opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, received 47.86% of the votes.
