The Method of Benefit Payments Will Change from July 1
From July 1, 2023, in cities and settlements with more than 1000 residents, family and social benefits, as well as urgent assistance, will be paid in cashless form, except in cases where the beneficiary is a person with first or second group disability or an elderly person. In these cases, payment can continue in cash through Haypost based on the application. This is reported by the Unified Social Service.
After July 1, 2023, families that have not yet applied for the change in payment method will have their benefits automatically transitioned to cashless payments through a programmatic tool, and the bank will be selected randomly based on the proportions of families receiving cashless benefits according to what banks operate in that settlement.
Any adult member of the family receiving benefits in cities and settlements with more than 1000 residents can submit a request for change of payment method to the territorial center servicing their place of residence until June 30, 2023, in order to avoid queues for information about the bank selected by the system.
