Special Tax to Be Introduced for Bloggers: Proposal from Russian Senators
Russian senators have proposed to introduce a special tax for bloggers. This was reported by TASS.
The relevant document was prepared by the Budget and Financial Markets Committee of the Federation Council. The draft resolution is expected to be adopted by the Federation Council during a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 24.
Andrey Epishin, deputy chairman of the Budget and Financial Markets Committee of the Federation Council, clarified that such taxation would require amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. A special mechanism for accounting all income of bloggers needs to be created, as they receive income from various sources.
