Pashinyan on the Extradition of Azerbaijani Servicemen Found in Armenia
Currently, there are no Azerbaijani servicemen found in the Republic of Armenia due to being lost. The Azerbaijani individuals who are currently in Armenia have crossed the border knowingly and willingly. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference.
When asked if he rules out the possibility of extraditing two Azerbaijani individuals found on Armenian territory, one of whom killed a guard of the Defense Ministry's warehouse, Pashinyan responded that we cannot ignore the fact that an Armenian citizen was killed, but we also don’t violate the presumption of innocence for anyone.
“The resolution of relations involves very important and complex decision-making, but it should not be one-sided. Yes, we are ready to discuss, of course, after going through legal procedures. We cannot overlook the fact that an Armenian citizen was killed, but we do not negate the presumption of innocence for anyone. The preliminary investigation will be completed, the case will be sent to court, and various solutions are possible,” the Prime Minister replied.
