EU Observers Could Not Respond: Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister
The Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan addressed the absence of responses from EU observers to Azerbaijani provocations. He stated that EU observers could not respond to the Azerbaijani provocations: “Their role is to prepare reports for Brussels and EU member states. Their mission is to regularly visit all sections of the border. I can note that their presence is already a contribution to improving the situation. It creates a psychologically safer environment, and in that regard, the mission fully fulfills its mandate.”
It is noteworthy that since 06:00 on May 11, Azerbaijani Armed Forces have been firing from artillery and mortars towards Armenian positions located near Sotk. The Armenian side has reported four casualties.
