Warning Issued Against Prosecutor
The Chief Prosecutor Anna Vardapetyan has issued a disciplinary penalty of "warning" against an autonomous official at the Ararat region prosecutor's office. Specifically, the Deputy Prosecutor of Ararat region failed to take prosecutorial measures to prevent unjustified delays in the pre-trial investigation period while overseeing the legality of the pre-trial proceedings in criminal case N. As a result, the prosecuting body exhibited inactivity for an extended period of time, failing to conduct necessary evidential and procedural actions in a timely manner.
Additionally, as the supervising prosecutor responsible for ensuring the legitimacy of criminal prosecution, he did not make a decision regarding the change of prosecution against the accused, despite having received the conclusions of the commission's forensic medical examination for about two months.
