Video: No Progress on Key Issues in Negotiations, Says Security Council Secretary
Armenia and Azerbaijan have made no progress on the key issues in peace treaty negotiations. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, during a conversation with reporters at the 'Victory' park today, May 9.
“This concerns the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia over 29,800 square kilometers, the establishment of an international mechanism between Stepanakert and Baku, as well as the creation of international guarantees,” Grigoryan said.
According to him, even the preservation of the elements of the November 9, 2020 document is not succeeding today. “For instance, according to the trilateral statement, Azerbaijan should not be present in the Lachin corridor, but it is currently present. It is very important for us to have an institution of international guarantors that will help us resolve such issues,” the Security Council Secretary emphasized.
