“Russia will lose just like Nazism did.” Vladimir Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has promised that Russian forces in Ukraine will suffer the same defeat as Nazi Germany did in World War II.

“All the old evils that modern Russia is bringing back will be defeated just as Nazism was defeated,” he said in a video address released on May 8, filmed at the Kyiv war memorial.

“Just as we destroyed evil together back then, we are now destroying similar evil,” Zelensky added. According to him, the Kremlin is responsible for aggression and annexation, occupation and displacement, massacres and torture.

“All of this will be answered by our victory—the victory of Ukraine and the free world,” Zelensky emphasized.
