Kyiv Has the Right to Destroy Everything in Occupied Territories, Says Podolyak
“Kyiv has the legal right to destroy everything located in the occupied territories of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia,” said Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's office, commenting on a The Washington Post article that reported on Ukraine's Armed Forces preparing to strike Moscow on February 24, 2023, the anniversary of Russia's large-scale invasion.
According to leaks from the Pentagon, Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate had agreed to change those plans at the request of the United States.
“We have other priority objectives, which are guaranteed by international law. We have the legal right to destroy everything within the territories of Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson. There are no legal claims against us,” Podolyak noted.
