Opposition Member of the Community Council of Tegh Masis Zeynalyan Attacked

Today, Masis Zeynalyan, an opposition member of the Community Council of Tegh, was assaulted at the community’s cultural house. Zeynalyan himself confirmed this information in a conversation with MediaHub, stating that he was attacked by individuals connected to former Syunik governor and Ministry of Defense advisor Melikset Poghosyan.

“At the cultural house, with the presence of community leader Davit Ghulyan and the head of the volunteer army staff Karo Avanesyan, I was beaten by the mafia led by Ministry of Defense advisor Melikset Poghosyan. Today, violating the law and under the instructions of Melikset Poghosyan, they convened a meeting and are forcing community residents to go to the border and replace the volunteer fighters,” Zeynalyan recounted.

He added that two days earlier, “the same mafia” had assaulted another resident of the village of Tegh, who is now, according to Zeynalyan, in the Yerevan hospital “Heratsi” number one.

“Ashot Galstyan from Tegh was beaten by the same mafia, and he is scheduled for three surgeries tomorrow. Since Melikset Poghosyan is behind these crimes and the prosecutor of Syunik region is his son, all cases are being covered up. This is already the third time I have been attacked by this mafia. I demand the resignation of the criminal leader of the Tegh community,” the opposition council member stated.

Masis Zeynalyan also noted that he has reported the assault to the National Security Service and the Ministry of Defense.
