Fewer People in the U.S. Will Have Access to Classified Information
The U.S. government will limit officials' access to classified information in light of a significant leak from the Pentagon. This was stated in a written declaration by U.S. President Joe Biden.
“I have directed our military and intelligence community to take steps to strengthen the security of sensitive information and limit its dissemination, and our national security team is closely coordinating actions with partners and allies,” the document states.
Biden also praised the “swift actions of U.S. law enforcement” regarding the recent release of classified documents from the U.S. government.
