Zahharova Addresses Incident on Armenian-Azerbaijani Border
Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, has addressed the aggression of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the territory of Tegh village in the Goriss region, as well as the Armenian-Azerbaijani clashes that occurred yesterday. Zakharova specifically stated: "Representatives of the Russian border forces have contacted both the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides and taken steps for de-escalation. What has happened once again demonstrates that Baku and Yerevan must show restraint and strictly adhere to the comprehensive decisions outlined in the trilateral agreements."
It is noteworthy that on April 11, around 16:00, a group of Azerbaijani servicemen approached the Armenian armed forces under the pretext of clarifying the deployment points along the border in the Tegh village area of Syunik Province, provoking and opening fire with firearms, followed by various calibers of weaponry, aimed at Armenian servicemen and positions. As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, the Armenian side has reported 4 fatalities and 6 injuries.
