Up to 10 People May Be Trapped in Marseille Building Ruins: French Interior Ministry
No casualties have been reported yet; however, there may be between 4 to 10 people trapped in the rubble. This information was shared by France's Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin in an interview with the media, according to French bfmtv.com.
It is important to note that a four-story residential building collapsed in Marseille last night, and a fire subsequently broke out. Five individuals with varying degrees of injuries have been hospitalized.
Darmanin emphasized that, at this moment, there are no reported casualties resulting from the collapse. He also mentioned that the cause of the collapse is still unknown, and law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation.
Earlier, French media reported that a nearby building also partially collapsed. Witnesses cited an explosion that preceded the collapse of the four-story residential structure.
