Earthquake Recorded Near India's Islands
An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale occurred near the Nicobar Islands of India on Sunday. This information was reported by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located approximately 332 kilometers southeast of Port Blair, a city with a population of around 112,000. The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There are currently no reports of damage or casualties.
