The threat of a new world war is quite real, and it is not an exaggeration, says Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Speaking on Kossuth Radio on Friday, he mentioned that negotiations continue within the European Union regarding sending troops to Ukraine, which is fraught with the risk of direct confrontation with Russia.

The government leader noted that the West is sending increasingly powerful weapon systems to Ukraine to continue military operations against Russia, and thus, a third world war is no longer 'a kind of literary exaggeration.' 'This is now a real danger,' Orbán stated.

He also pointed out that 'European leaders are already calmly discussing whether EU countries can deploy certain peacekeeping forces [to Ukraine].' 'This would be another crossing of the line,' warned Hungary's Prime Minister.
