Kadyrov Fears Putin and Loss of Power, ISW
Analysts from the US Institute for the Study of War believe that Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is afraid of Putin and concerned about his power. This is evidenced by a recent incident in the city of Gudermes, where two unknown individuals opened fire on the local police station. They were quickly killed, and Kadyrov himself arrived at the scene just as swiftly.
According to experts, this move was an attempt to maintain his image and show that any manifestation of resistance will be suppressed. Furthermore, Kadyrov's rapid response to the incident indicates that he is anxious about potential resistance in Chechnya.
