Azerbaijan Deploys Armed Unit at the Beginning of Goris-Stepanakert Road
Azerbaijan has deployed an armed unit at the beginning of the Goris-Stepanakert road, which passes through the Lachine Corridor and is located near the border with Armenia, effectively blocking traffic on this route. Currently, this road is only being used by peacekeepers and the Red Cross. This information was reported by the Telegram channel bagramyan26.
According to reports, it is noted that the new Goris-Stepanakert road, which Armenia is constructing to replace the old route, is nearly complete and will soon be put into operation. Azerbaijan has once again violated agreements by completely closing off the existing road before the new one becomes operational.
At this moment, this does not create significant problems, as the road connecting Armenia to Artsakh has already been blocked in the Shushi region by what Aliyev refers to as “protesters.” The new road, nearing completion, is difficult for peacekeepers and Red Cross vehicles to navigate due to unpaved sections.
