‘We Need to Help Armenia and Pressure Azerbaijan’ - Rasmussen
The former NATO Secretary General and founder and president of Rasmussen Global, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, in an interview with CBC’s chief political correspondent Rosemary Barton following his visit to Armenia, emphasized that the EU and the West must pay much closer attention to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, as autocratic Azerbaijan has been waging war against democratic Armenia for a considerable time.
‘We need to help Armenia and prevent a humanitarian disaster in the Armenian enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh, as Azerbaijan has closed the only road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia. And we need to pressure Azerbaijan to unblock the Lachin corridor,’ Rasmussen summarized.
