Recent National Polls in Turkey: Erdogan is Losing Ground
Recent national polling data regarding the presidential elections in Turkey has been released. Opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is leading with 53.1%, while the current president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has 42.3%.
In the presidential elections taking place on May 14, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, considered Erdoğan's main rival, met today with leaders of the pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party in the country's parliament. The report from Turkish NTV states that Kılıçdaroğlu, nominated by six opposition parties, is having discussions with the co-chairs of the Kurdish party, Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar.
