Kremlin Bans Officials from Using iPhones: 'Either Throw Them Away or Give Them to Children'

The Russian presidential administration has instructed its staff to refrain from using iPhones. This was reported by the newspaper 'Kommersant,' citing well-informed sources within the Kremlin.

"We have been instructed to either throw away our iPhones or give them to children," said one of the newspaper's interlocutors, emphasizing that the deadline for abandoning the American-made smartphones is set for April 1.

According to 'Kommersant,' this decision is not political. The reasons behind it are claimed to be "purely security-related," the newspaper asserts.
