The Mayor of Yerevan, Hrachya Sargsyan, is set to submit a resignation letter. This is reported by MediaHub.am, citing its sources. According to the information, Sargsyan will announce his resignation on Friday, tomorrow.

The report indicates that discussions are currently underway regarding the reason that will be given for the resignation. Naturally, attention will be directed towards health issues and the necessity of leaving the country for that purpose. It is noted that two other individuals will also be leaving the city hall alongside Hrachya Sargsyan.

"The interim Secretary of Staff, Seyran Mejlumyan, and his assistant will also depart," the media source has stated.

According to the source, it was mentioned after the council meeting yesterday that the news of Hrachya Sargsyan's resignation will be published on Friday evening.

"It is said that Deputy Levon Hovhannisyan will remain until September, after which elections will take place. This means there will not be an extraordinary election," the source added.
