VIDEO: Mass Protests in Moldova, Several Arrested

What is currently happening in Moldova is working against the authorities, stated Dinu Turcanu, the president of the Orhei district, while commenting on the blocking of transport in neighborhoods as protesters headed to a rally in Chișinău.

“What is going on in Moldova is very difficult to understand. There are basic rights for economic entities that have the right to work and protest. This is enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova,” Turcanu said.

Since the start of the protest action, 24 participants, including 15 minors, have been taken into custody by the police, who are accompanying them to the main inspection. The ministry reports that they have been moved to the inspection for identity confirmation.

It is worth noting that in Orhei, citizens are demanding the government resign if it fails to pay the bills for the winter months and prevent war in the country.
