Aliyev Discusses Installation of Azerbaijani Checkpoint in Lachin Corridor in Germany
Statements made based on the Brussels platform serve as the basis for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was announced by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. According to APA, Aliyev stated that "the initiative for signing a peace treaty comes from Azerbaijan, and for this purpose, Azerbaijan has put forward 5 principles."
He noted that communications between the parties regarding the signing of the peace treaty are still ongoing. He reiterated Azerbaijan's commitment to the Brussels agenda initiated by Charles Michel.
Taking the opportunity, Aliyev once again reiterated the illegal demand for the installation of an Azerbaijani checkpoint in the Lachin corridor.
