Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Submits Resignation
The spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Vahan Hunanyan, has been relieved of his duties as spokesperson by his own request. He announced this on his Facebook page today, March 13.
“Dear colleagues, I would like to inform you that I have been relieved of my duties as the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by my own request. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Mr. Ararat Mirzoyan, for his exemplary leadership, collaborative work, and the trust he has shown me. It has been a great honor, a significant responsibility, and an unparalleled experience to be at the diplomatic forefront of our country during this crucial year and a half,” he wrote.
“The year and a half that passed felt like a second, yet it was an entire lifetime. It hasn’t been easy, but we have continuously moved forward through our collective efforts. Throughout this time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has worked at 120% to overcome numerous security and other challenges our country has faced, and it will undoubtedly continue to do so until we reach a peaceful harbor.
“I am thankful to my colleagues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various state agencies, the media, and the public sector for their effective cooperation. Of course, special thanks to my wonderful team at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ press service – you are always in my thoughts and heart. I also wish to congratulate and wish much success and endless energy to the new spokesperson, Ani Badalyan. Ani, best of luck!”
In conclusion, he mentioned that he will continue his diplomatic service within the Foreign Ministry system.
